With the help of the dry ice blasting system COOLMASTER<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> these particles are being accelerated to an extremely high speed by compressed air and then are blasted onto the object to be cleaned through a nozzle.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>This produces 3 effects which, when combined, enable an optimum cleaning process:<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> The kinetic effect: the dry ice particles being accelerated to high speed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-4 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>2.<\/strong> The thermal effect: the dry ice particles hit the dirt layer at -78.5\u00b0 C, cool it down abruptly, it contracts and forms cracks. Due to the different coefficients of thermal expansion, the compound between the surface and the dirt is loosened.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> The sublimation: on impact, the carbon dioxide directly transforms from a solid to a gaseous state and expands about 700 times the volume in a split second. This expansion literally \u201dblasts off\u201d the dirt from the surface.
